Airlume began after one too many conversations with Birmingham homeowners who'd had an air conditioning unit fitted cheaply and quickly, only to find it leaking, noisy, or simply not cooling the room it was meant for. The gap wasn't skill, it was that nobody was writing anything down, naming an engineer, or checking the work before leaving.
We set out to do the opposite. Every job starts with a written quote, uses properly specified R32 refrigerant and brazed copper pipework rather than quick push-fit shortcuts, and finishes with a photographed check before the engineer packs the van. It's not complicated, it just takes a bit more care than rushing to the next job.
We're based out of a small workshop on Bradford Street in Digbeth, and we stay within reach of that base rather than spreading thin across the country. Prices are agreed upfront with no retail markups hidden in the middle, and payment is straightforward, cash or bank transfer, once you've seen the job finished.
